99.9% Pure Oxygen-free P.R. Copper Electroforming Method

P.R. Copper Electroforming Method Evaluation of properties of electrodeposit
  • Low contamination
  • High electric conductivity at the same level as oxygen-free copper
  • Electrical breakdown resistant
  • High vacuum level

  • THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL

    HOT PRESS FORMING
    PEKK + SPREAD CARBON FIBER
    INJECTION MOLDING
    PEEK + GLASS FIBER
    Characteristics

1)The out of autoclave process enables a 30% cost reduction compared to the conventional autoclave process.
2)Reduced per ply thickness enables a thinner and lighter product with the same strength as the existing products.
3)Spreading of carbon fiber bundles reduces the thickness of each ply.
4)Spread carbon fibers increase the uniformity of the prepreg.
    Trial Product Overview

    Oxygen-Free Copper Electro-Forming

HIPBATechnologies for Oxygen-Free Copper Electro-Forming and Electro-Polishing developed by Asahi Kinzoku Kogyo Inc., were used to develop "High-Intensity Proton Beam Accelerator", which has contributed to winning a Nobel prize for physics by Japanese scientists.

Required characteristics of High-Intensity Proton Beam Accelerator are as follows:

    • To be manufactured in low cost
    • High vacuum and excellent accelerating performance (No out gassing)
    • High electrical conductivity
    • Adhesiveness : 26kg/mm2

To meet these requirements, the manufacturing processes of :

    (1) OFC Electro-Forming with thickness of 0.8mm
    (2) Electro-Polishing by 40μm

These have been proved to be the most suitable for the Accelerator, in Research & Development by Asahi.
