Thermal Spray Coating (HVOF)

The technology of Thermal Spray Coatings ( HVOF - High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) is developed by Asahi Kinzoku Kogyo Inc. with the supports of Japanese Government (METI) to coat the parts with complicated configurations and to meet the requirements of coating thickness and surface roughness as sprayed (without grinding).

Environmental Issue
HVOF Thermal Spray Coatings is environment-friendly, known as alternative process of chromium plating and toxic substance free. It is important and indispensable to consider the environmental issue in the future of aerospace industry. Asahi's HVOF process is the one of the answer to this.

Aim toward the future
Asahi newly installed 2nd HVOF facility in Dec, 2008, which is in process of qualification from Boeing BAC5851 Class 2, Grade B.  Asahi will continually research and develop the capability and the possibility of our HVOF.
